Hi!
Somewhere in my younger days I got caught up in that wonderful Simon and Garfunkle song “Kodachrome” and I’ve been taking pictures ever since. My mom, a photographer, gave me a Kodak Brownie camera and taught me how to take a picture....composition, framing, lighting. And yes, the photo of the rose in 'Gallery' was taken on Kodachrome!
I like walking around and seeing the art which surrounds us, from the countryside, to the artfulness of a motorcycle, to the living subject which is New York City. It’s all there. We just have to open ourselves up and see it. It's absolutely amazing. If I’m doing someone's portrait, I like to delve into what makes you you, and try and capture that essence of you. I don't get into much technobabble about camera brands….I’d like to hope that Michaelangelo didn’t discuss with DaVinci what kind of brush was used, but instead they would have discussed the end result and the beauty they created and the feeling evoked. So, yes, I have a whole bunch of Nikons, a little Panasonic which I carry with me all the time, a Polaroid, a Kodak Instamatic 110, all my vintage cameras, my delightful Rollei Prego 90 which I used to shoot the ENTIRE 9/11 Names Project, and a lovely Rolleiflex Twin lens reflex which, dating from the 1950’s, works fine! Yes, it was Mom's, from her days working at Glamour Magazine.
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting….I hope you enjoy the photographs! If you'd like headshots, please contact me. I have several packages available so please contact me regarding rates. I also do casual wedding photography and food photography as well. As for my other images, yes, they are for sale. Again, feel free to contact me if you'd like to purchase one!
Thanks again!!
Warmly,
Bill
